Well everything is in the title, so far, only workaround that I found was to group by FS but it's absolutely not convenient...

There's also external tool that provide the functionality but it's replacing some dll's and I'm not fond of such solutions either.

Is there any way to get  that old (convenient!) functionality back? (i.e. by modifying some keys in registry?)

I made a comparing before and after by caputering Registry changes. Found that it's impossible for us to change its style by modifying Registry. All the data based on binary system.

Ok thanks for answer. Can only hope that they'll release a 8.2 SP in order to get a fully functional desktop back (my question being one of the thousands annoyance in w8).
